Capital of Turkmenistan

Ashgabat – “The city of love and hope” rises between the Garagum desert and the foothills of the Kopet Dag Mountains. The combination of oriental cultural traditions and modern urban design makes this country one of the most exciting in Central Asia. Modern Ashgabat abounds with harmonious white marbled skyscrapers, ornate public buildings, unique palaces, monuments and hotels and mosques with walls and minarets as lacy as jewelry and as pleasing to the eye. Everywhere there are squares and parks with hundreds fountains to soothingly cool the hot desert air. New modern highways, like vivifying arteries, pass through the city connecting prestigious districts and suburbs.
